1:5 Where could you be struck again? Will you continue [your] stubbornness? The whole head is sick, and the whole heart afflicted. Having spoken about the people, Isaiah now addresses them directly (‘you’ is plural). His first question reflects on how Yahweh had in his providence sent them reverses and times of national distress.
